What to Wear/Bring?

1.

Quarters for the parking meter. The meter rate is $0.25 for 15 minutes. Meters start charging at 10AM. This means that you will need 8 quarters for a 2-hour practice. There is also residential parking if you can find it!

2.

Bottled water to take on the boat. Dehydration can happen quickly while paddling. If you are going to be out practicing for an hour or more, it may be a good idea to carry one liter or more with you. One liter is approximately two (2) 16 fl oz water bottles.

3.

Sunblock. Remember to reapply as needed!

4.

Hat/Cap.

5.

Sandals, aquasocks, or water booties. You can go barefoot if you choose. Not a good idea to wear tennis shoes (leather and salt water do not mix). To avoid sand in your car, you may want to bring a spare pair of sandals/shoes to change into.

6.

Gloves (not leather).

7.

Shorts, tank top or t-shirt.

8.

Towel

9.

Change of clothes.

10.

Cushion or cabinet liners (optional).

11.

Power bar/snacks (optional).

12.

Paddle and or life vest/jacket (if you have them).
