GREAT JOB to the new paddlers trying out dragon boat on SAT --- you did a fantastic job keeping up with our drills!
RECRUITING AT LAAFB - we will have a table at the APA Celebration at Los Angeles Air Force Base (El Segundo) THIS THURSDAY from 11A-1P --- let me know if you're available to help out!
PRACTICE THIS SAT ONLY AT 9AM --- hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend - stay safe!
***A REMINDER TO THE NEW PADDLERS - you're allowed three (3) free practices before having to commit to membership with the AeroDragons and payment of dues. Dues are $50 cash or check made out to "AEA AeroDragons" - please give to Anthony Luna!***
RACE JERSEYS - Please let me know your size --- I will be ordering racing jerseys (gray sleeve stripe) shortly!
DON'T FORGET YOUR LAND TRAINING - don't forget your 3 sets of 30 sit-ups, 30 push-ups, 30 squats, 30 leg raises - 3 times a week.
DO NOT PARK ON APPIAN WAY. Please park in the metered parking or the Boy Scout lot south of 2nd Street bridge.

CONGRATS 2 AeroDragons who raced in the Spring Races --- by default, AeroDragons placed 3rd in the 500m (Killer Guppies fell to 4th because they did not have the min # of women on their boat).
Given the fact that:
1. We haven't practiced together as a team the last few
weekends AND2. Some of the paddlers hadn't been around in a "month of Sundays" AND
3. Some of the paddlers paddled 4 miles of outrigger the day before/are readjusting to a new time zone,
We did surprisingly well as a team!
JUST THINK of what we can do if ALL OF US came to practice consistently for the next 2 months until the JULY RACES! Please think about commitment to practices for the next 2 months --- Long Beach is just around the corner!
PRACTICE THIS SAT & SUN @ 9AM.
GENDER TEAMS for the USDBF Nationals --- LARD is putting together Men's and Women's teams to compete in the USDBF Nationals to be held in Long Beach this July. Please contact Chuck Chang at charlescchang@gmail.com
if you are interested. JUST REMEMBER THAT AERODRAGONS PRACTICES ARE PRIORITY!

AeroDragons ---Congrats to the Aqua Aero Fortis Dragon Ladies who made both the 300m and 500m Women's Finals - 3rd Runners-Up.
LAST PRACTICE BEFORE SUNDAY RACES AeroDragons - please come to one more practice before our race!
RECRUITING OPPORTUNITIES - need help to recruit paddlers for a few hours during lunch 2 days in May:
1. TUES May 13th @ the Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo
2. THUR May 22nd @ Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo
Please let us know if you'd be able to help at our booths!
