AERODRAGONS -
GREAT job keeping up with the resistance last SAT . . . Henry & Dorothy get honorable mention for best-dressed couple with "matching" outfits. Thanks to Brad, Wil and Henry for sharing steering duty.
SUN practices are back starting with FEB 4th(this weekend). ALSO NEED BODIES TO HELP UNLOAD BOATS THIS SUN AM (8AM) . . .
WELCOME to newbies Sarah, Kelley, Barbara and Lisa who will be practicing with us in preparation for the World Police & Fire Games in Australia next month.
PRACTICE SAT & SUN --- PLEASE RSVP for SAT and/or SUN practice, make sure you arrive at 9:30AM SAT or 8:30AM SUN for warm up.
LAND TRAINING --- Make sure you are doing 3 sets of 40 each sit-ups, push-ups and squats --- 3X/week!
DO NOT PARK ON APPIAN WAY. Please park in the metered parking or the Boy Scout lot south of 2nd Street bridge.
CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE (the Year of the Boar) is SAT FEB 24th from 2P-5P this year. Need a quick headcount of how many of you can march (about 1.5 miles) . . .please let us know!
MEMBERSHIP DUES for 2007 are due NOW.
NEWBIES/GUESTS will be allowed THREE (3) practices GRATIS (free). After THREE practices, you will be considered a TEAM MEMBER and you MUST pay dues in full AND participate as an AERODRAGON at the 2007 Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival in order to continue to practice with us.
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .

AERODRAGONS -
GREAT volleyball game last SAT (Mother's Beach was closed due to a sewage spill . . .) Who knew of the sibling rivalry between Lorie and Ricky (the Chan twins) as they battled at the net 3 feet in the air! Stephanie got a slow start, but learned the overhand spike - using it in the back row . . .

REMINDER - DO NOT PARK ON APPIAN WAY. Please park in the metered parking or the Boy Scout lot south of 2nd Street bridge.

AERODRAGONS -
THANKS to those braving the wind and frozen fingers to paddle on SAT --- for cold-weather paddling suggest you bring something to cover your ears/head, wear gloves . . . and wear layers, layers, layers.
TK will have samples of life vests and gloves THIS SAT from 9A-11A.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Time to get back into the dragon boat and work off those calories . . . I'm sure most of your New Year Resolutions included "I resolve to rotate more," " I resolve to reach another 2 inches," "I resolve to keep my head up and watch the strokes," and "I resolve to answer Mary's Evites every week . . ."

AeroDragons ---
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, whatever it is you celebrate!
THANKS to Brian Chan, Henry, Ruthanne, Stephanie, Jonathan, Vince and Jerry for paddling at the relay races on SAT. GREAT JOB Henry, Ruthanne and Jerry on Team 4 who won the overall relay (I'm sure it was AeroDragons that carried that team . . .)
CONGRATULATIONS to the Electric-AeroDragon team at the Naples Boat Parade: we did a "three-peat" and won Best Dragon Boat with our Motown Merry Christmas float.
