Update 12/5 --- Hi Naples Parade Paddlers ---
Go to the AeroDragons site at http://www.aerodragons.org and click on the "More Info Here" for the music and lyrics we'll be singing to. Need help on routines - I'm thinking specifically of The Supremes song Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. We'll practice this before the parade!
Update 11/27 ---
AeroDragons/Electric Dragons - we're all set for a fun evening parading around the canals of Naples. The theme for our boat is MOTOWN MUSICAL MERRY XMAS. We will have a pretty powerful sound system this year playing Jackson 5, Supremes, Smokey & the Miracles, Stevie Wonder, etc. We will have costumes lined up (think 60's-70's disco) for everyone.
Please try to get to the beach by 2P-3P; access to Naples Island may be difficult the later it gets. Dr. Chen will have an eye-dotting ceremony at 5PM. Late lunch/early dinner will be provided.
It will be cold on the water so wear something warm underneath (neoprene body suit would work if you have).
Several other teams are participating this year: Belmont Shores, LA Pinks, LA Dept. of Public Works, NAC Dragons and Space Dragons will be there.

MEMBERSHIP DUES for 2007 are due NOW. Please make checks payable to "AEA AeroDragons." and give to either me or Lorie Chan. 2007 dues structure will be the same as last year:
$40 - Aerospace employees or Active Military
$50 - All other adults
$30 - High School
NEWBIES/GUESTS will be allowed THREE (3) practices GRATIS (free). After THREE practices, you will be considered a TEAM MEMBER and you MUST pay dues in full.
NAPLES BOAT PARADE is at capacity. If you'd like to help decorate, meet at Mother's Beach at 2PM. Dr. Chen will have an eye-dotting ceremony at 5P.
RELAYS WITH OTHER SCDBC TEAMS next SAT 12/16. Meet EARLY on SAT at 9AM. We will pull names out of a hat to determine teams.
NO PRACTICE 12/23 OR 12/30 HOPE everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving --- thanks to all who survived resistance last SAT, especially newbies Cristina, MaryAnn, Elliot & Miriam!
FYI - IF YOU PLAN ON GOING TO VANCOUVER for the Alcan DB Festival JUN 16-17, YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT. Effective January - photo ID will not be acceptable to cross borders for Canada/Mexico. Please apply for your passport if you don't have one!
NEED BODIES TO HELP UNLOAD BOATS FOR DR. CHEN at Marine Stadium THIS SUNDAY at 8:30A. LA Pink Dragons will be providing refreshments for helpers. So far, I have Debbie, Brad and Jerry helping --- let me know if you're able to help out
PRACTICE SAT ONLY --- PLEASE RSVP for SAT practice, make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30AM SAT for warm-up. REMOTE COACH DEE will be visiting us at practice this SAT with our other trophy from Houston.
DON'T PARK ON APPIAN WAY - use the Boy Scout parking south of the 2nd St. bridge, or the metered parking.
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .
EAT SOMETHIN' in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.
See you on the water!!
