AeroDragons ---
We'd like to start practicing by teams this weekend if we can (Women's, Men's, Comp and Rec) IT'S IMPORTANT THAT YOU RSVP for THIS WED/SAT/SUN practice. WE NEED TO PLAN FOR ANOTHER BOAT IF WE NEED IT! Make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 6:00PM WED,or 9:30AM SAT, or 8:30AM SUN for warm-up.
FROM ERIN: Can you tell everyone sorry that I didn't get to come to one last practice, that I wish I could be there, and I'll see them in december ? Thank you so much if you could do that. I'll be back before ya know it. BEAT THE KILLER GUPPIES IN THE NEXT LONG BEACH RACE!!! Thank you for letting me be a part of the team, it was fantastic!-erin-
REMOTE COACH Dee says HI and that he and Pat miss us. He hasn't joined AQUALASH . . . yet (as rumor has it) - he has been practicing with GILA, although he says it's not REALLY practicing (like our practices) . . .
MANDATORY PRACTICES ARE IN EFFECT NOW. REMEMBER SAT'S ARE MANDATORY AND ALSO TWO SUN'S!!
IINDIVIDUAL SPRINTS continue on WED, SAT & SUN (before and after normal practice) on an OC1 (outrigger canoe). Brian will be at Mother's Beach starting at 4P on WED and SAT/SUN if you'd like to participate!
WATCH FOR BILLY AS BUDDHA on Mind of Mencia/Comedy Central channel AUG 6th (skit involving WWF match - Buddha vs. Jesus)
SOME OF YOU WILL HAVE FULL RACE SCHEDULES IN LONG BEACH (COMP/REC & MEN'S/WOMEN/S - TOT 4-6 RACES IN 1 DAY) --- KEEP DOING YOUR LAND TRAINING --- Stay with reps to 3 sets of 60 at 4X/week. Keep STRETCHING - work on ENDURANCE!
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .
EAT YO'SELF SOMETHIN' in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.

Thanks to Mike, Janet, Henry and Erin for helping out with the VH1 taping WED. Also to Brad and Jerry for volunteering at the KNBC Travel Expo on SAT. Special thanks to Mike and Billy for taking over Beach Monitor duty on SUN.
MANDATORY PRACTICES START THIS SAT for the Long Beach Race Crews! Also try to make as many WED and/or SUN practices as you can in preparation for race weekend . . .
IINDIVIDUAL SPRINTS continue on WED practice evenings (before and after normal practice) on an OC1 (outrigger canoe). The objective is to have each of you aware of your individual contribution in moving the dragon boat - your time and strokes will be tracked over a measured course. Brian will be at Mother's Beach starting at 4P if you'd like to participate!
ORDERING MESH/DRI-FIT TANK TOPS FOR LONG BEACH DB Festival. Let me know if you want one - I'll have samples this weekend.

VH-1 will be taping test video of dragon boats - need 6 paddlers this WED at NOON at Mother's Beach for 1-2 hours. Let me know if you can make it!
