Hey AeroDragons ---
VIDEO PARADE DEMO up on the website for those parade people who couldn't make practice --- there'll be another parade practice this SAT after db practice.
MOCK RACE AGAINST KILLER GUPPIES THIS SAT 1/28 - please RSVP so we'll know who'll be there and we can do seating . . . if anyone's interested KG's will be going to Acapulco's at 1PM after parade practice and we're invited!
SAT & SUN DRAGON BOAT PRACTICE --- PLEASE RSVP if you're coming to SAT/SUN practice, make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30A SAT or 8:30AM SUN for warm-up.
LAND TRAINING --- Coach says stay with the 3 sets of 30: push ups, sit ups and squats this week (3X/week).
RACE DATE CHANGES--- Sorry guys --- just found out that SFO race has now been changed to SEPT 23 & 24 (still at Treasure Island - it should be REALLY cold then) --- hope you all can change schedules? Also, now it sounds like LONG BEACH will remain in July --- Dr. Chen is still negotiating . . .
DUES ARE DUE NOW! --- Year-around paddlers please pay your dues to Lorie Chan or myself if you haven't already --- checks are made out to "AEA AeroDragons" or cash (exact change).
COMMUNITY RELATIONS - in the future, please try to park in either the metered parking OR the Boy Scouts parking lot (south side of the 2nd St. Bridge). Do NOT park on Appian way if at all possible.
REMINDER: Eat something in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.

PARADE PRACTICE this SAT 1/21 at NOON WITH THE OTHER TEAMS - please plan to stay after practice to attend this . . .
SAT & SUN DRAGON BOAT PRACTICE --- PLEASE RSVP if you're coming to SAT/SUN practice, make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30A SAT or 8:30AM SUN for warm-up.
LAND TRAINING --- Coach says stay with the 3 sets of 30: push ups, sit ups and squats this week (3X/week). We will be starting RESISTANCE training next week --- so add lots of stretching to your routine!
LB RACE DATE CHANGE!! --- There's a possibility that the Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival may be moved to SEPT 16 & 17 we should know for sure by next week.
SAVE THE DATE: MOCK RACE WITH THE KILLER GUPPIES --- SAT 1/28 --- we'll be doing 3 race sets, 250m & 500M in the back bay --- this will be fun!
SPEAKING OF GUPPIES . . . they are looking for paddlers who want to race with them at the AZ DB Festival MAR 18 & 19 at Tempe Town Lake. Let me know if you're interested . . .

AERODRAGONS -
THANKS to Dee & Mike for the help coaching us last SAT - great workout everyone! Remember the "U" . . .
PRACTICE SAT --- PLEASE RSVP for SAT practice, make sure you arrive at 9:30AM SAT for warm-up.
CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE (the Year of the Boar) is SAT FEB 24th from 2P-5P this year. Need a quick headcount of how many of you can march (about 1.5 miles) . . .please let us know!
MEMBERSHIP DUES for 2007 are due NOW. Please make checks payable to "AEA AeroDragons." and give to either me or Lorie Chan. 2007 dues structure will be the same as last year:
$40 - Aerospace employees or Active Military
$50 - All other adults
$30 - High School
NEWBIES/GUESTS will be allowed THREE (3) practices GRATIS (free). After THREE practices, you will be considered a TEAM MEMBER and you MUST pay dues in full AND participate as an AERODRAGON at the 2007 Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival in order to continue to practice with us.
LAND TRAINING --- Make sure you are doing 3 sets of 40 each sit-ups, push-ups and squats --- 3X/week!
DON'T PARK ON APPIAN WAY - use the Boy Scout parking south of the 2nd St. bridge, or the metered parking.
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .

AeroDragons ---
THANKS to Dorothy and Henry for the lattes from Starbucks last SUN. WELCOME to this season's crop of newbies: Joannza Lo, Dorothy Cruz, Erin Wafer, Gerry Hall, Ming Chaung and John Geldbach -
OUTRIGGER DAY THIS SAT 1/14 --- Instead of usual SAT practice, we'll be paddling on the outriggers - not dragon boat. Please RSVP for outrigger if you're coming - space will be limited (6 paddlers to each boat). If you've never done this before, we'll have vets there that will show us how . . . there will be normal SUN dragon boat practice.

Hi AeroDragons!
Hope everyone had a great holiday! Ready to paddle?!!!
Let's get this year off to a great start and work off some of those winter calories. Our first race is April 22nd in LAS VEGAS.
PRACTICE THIS WEEKEND
Light resistance practice this weeknd - unlike this last weekend, weather should be in the mid to upper 70's and sunny this weekend --- SO. . . back to normal practice this SAT & SUN --- PLEASE RSVP FOR THE DAY YOU'RE COMING and make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30A SAT or 8:30A SUN for warm-up.
LAND TRAINING
Coach says back to your 3 sets of push ups, sit ups and squats starting this week --- if you're a newbie reading this, don't worry about doing this stuff . . . yet . . .
