OK GUYS --- even though we don't have any races planned in the near future, that doesn't mean you don't show up for PRACTICE! Technically, this is the beginning of the NEW SEASON for us and Coach has new techniques and strokes that we need to start working on so we can win that GOLD in LONG BEACH next year.
SO. . . back to normal practice this weekend SAT & SUN --- WE NEED A FULL BOAT. PLEASE RSVP FOR THE DAY YOU'RE COMING and make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30A SAT or 8:30A SUN for warm-up.
THANKS to Eric, Lorie, Dorothy and Bryan (coming) for being photographers at Miami --- over 1000 pics so far --- I have some "Best of" pics up now on the website --- action shots of the race, links to ALL the pics and pics from Bryan will be up soon.
THANKS ALSO to everyone who donned rubber gloves and performed manual labor to paint, sand, varnish and disinfect all the equipment last SAT - GREAT AERODRAGON TEAM EFFORT!
COMMUNITY RELATIONS - in the future, please try to park in either the metered parking OR the Boy Scouts parking lot (south side of the 2nd St. Bridge). Do NOT park on Appian way if at all possible.
SAVE THE DATE - SAT NOV 5, 10AM, Mary/Jerry's house - AERODRAGON GENERAL MEETING in lieu of practice. AGENDA: Elections, next year's race schedule, other miscellaneous business (ski day, ice-skating day, volleyball day, biking day, etc.). For those interested - we can HIKE the trails in the AGUA MAGNA CANYON next to our house (3 mile hike) after the meeting!
REMINDER: Eat something in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.
