CONGRATS to the Miami crew who took 4th Place in the South Florida Dragon Boat Festival!
NEWSFLASH --- We have tickets to Knott's Scary Farm for THIS SAT 7PM-2AM @ $40/ticket --- let Lorie or me know ASAP if you want to go! DEADLINE TOMORROW!!
THIS SAT OCT 22, 9AM, Boat Repair/Maintenance Day - no practice SAT only. We will all pitch in to help sand and varnish the boats along with the other year-around teams.
DIM SUM lunch at Seafood Empress/Gardena afterwards!
Practice this SUN ONLY. PLEASE TRY and come - we have a new stroke technique we're implementing and we need a FULL boat to see if it works for us!
COACH DEE says maintain your sets to 30 sit-ups/push-ups and add stretching to your regimen. PLEASE RSVP and make sure you arrive at 8:30A SUN for warm-up.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS - in the future, please try to park in either the metered parking OR the Boy Scouts parking lot (south side of the 2nd St. Bridge). Do NOT park on Appian way if at all possible.
SAVE THE DATE - SAT NOV 5, 10AM, Mary/Jerry's house - AERODRAGON GENERAL MEETING in lieu of practice. AGENDA: Elections, next year's race schedule, other miscellaneous business (ski day, ice-skating day, volleyball day, biking day, etc.). For those interested - we can HIKE the trails in the AGUA MAGNA CANYON next to our house (3 mile hike) after the meeting!
REMINDER: Eat something in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.
